The Satara District Bank election has delivered unexpected results, including a 44-44 tie in Koregaon, a candidate receiving zero votes in Khandala and a narrow four-vote victory in Mahabaleshwar.
In Koregaon Taluka Society constituency, an unexpected twist emerged after Nationalist Congress Party candidate Sunil Mane and BJP candidate Sunil Khatri both secured 44 votes, resulting in a tie. The situation became more complicated when a torn ballot paper was set aside. With one ballot paper declared invalid, the fate of both candidates will now be decided through a draw of lots.
The Jawali Society constituency also witnessed an interesting contest. Nationalist Congress Party candidate Vitthal Gole received only 8 votes, while BJP candidate Dnyaneshwar Ranjane secured 38 votes. Ranjane won the election by a margin of 30 votes.
In the Khandala Society constituency, Nationalist Congress Party candidate Ajay Bhosale received 28 votes, BJP candidate Sanjeev Gadhave secured 21 votes, while independent candidate Shamrao Gadhave received zero votes. In a surprising outcome, Shamrao Gadhave did not even receive his own vote.
The Mahabaleshwar Society constituency witnessed a closely contested election. Nationalist Congress Party candidate Rupali Rajpure received 8 votes, while Shiv Sena candidate Sanjay More secured just 4 votes. Rupali Rajpure emerged victorious by a narrow margin of four votes.
In the Patan Society constituency, Shiv Sena candidate Shambhuraj Desai won the election with 58 votes. BJP candidate Satyajit Patankar received 46 votes.
Meanwhile, BJP candidate Jaykumar Gore registered a decisive victory in the Maan Society constituency with 53 votes. Nationalist Congress Party candidate Manoj Pol received 14 votes, while Shiv Sena candidate Shekhar Gore secured 7 votes.
The Satara District Bank election results have therefore delivered contrasting outcomes across constituencies, ranging from a tie and a draw-of-lots decision in Koregaon to a zero-vote result in Khandala and a four-vote victory in Mahabaleshwar. The results have left candidates and supporters facing sharply different outcomes, with the Koregaon constituency still awaiting the final decision.
